Staffline Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting sewing machine maintenance technicians for our client based in Okehampton, Devon.
Key Responsibilities
• Undertake preventative maintenance on our clients' assets in accordance with the Maintenance Plan.
• Provide accurate and timely asset history and reports for OEE and TPM.
• Contribute to the achievement of zero unplanned downtime on our client's assets.
• Respond to all breakdown incidents within 15 minutes and complete all job requisitions within 10 working days of receipt.
• Undertake fault finding and remedial action, getting it right first time and avoiding repetitive common mode failures.
• Undertake and record commissioning and re-commissioning activities on assets ensuring they are safe and operationally fit for purpose before hand over to production.
• Manufacture / modify parts, components and equipment in accordance with sound engineering / technical standards ensuring that H&S and operational requirements are met.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers with regard to parts, service, technical queries etc, maintaining a professional and cooperative working relationship at all times.
• Participate fully in training and development activities to achieve the required level and scope of competencies as defined in the Skills Matrix and provide training and assessment of colleagues within your competence range.
• At all times work in a safe and efficient manner, complying with company and departmental Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and Procedures.
Requirements:
Essential:
Education/ Qualifications:
-Mechanical qualification NVQ 3 and City & Guilds level 3 (or equivalent).
Knowledge/ Experience (job and industry):
-A minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
-Industrial Sewing machines.
-PC literate (MS Word, MS Excel).
-Fabrication.
-Fault finding and Root Cause Analysis.
Skills/Aptitude:
-Willingness to undertake further training/learning as necessary, and on occasion assist in the training of other team members.

Disposition/ Personality:
-Hard working.
-Flexible with working hours.
-Good telephone manner (dealing with suppliers, manufacturers & contractors).


Circumstances:

Pay Rate - £11 per hour
Location - Okehampton / Devon
Shifts – Monday to Friday 40+ hours , must be prepared to work shifts if required for which a shift allowance is paid.
